About Ancient Wish: the liuli series

Ancient Wish is GrainMoon's series of liuli bracelets: lotus-shaped beads of kiln-fired glass, 12 mm, 14 to a bracelet, each with a hand-painted Tunjin beast charm, in dusky lavender, crystal ice, milky white and rosy frost. Liuli is coloured glass shaped by kiln casting, a technique used in China for over a thousand years; each bead is cast on its own, so tone and translucency vary a little from bead to bead. The Tunjin beast is a creature of Chinese folklore, and we describe it as tradition, not as a result.
