About GrainMoon
GrainMoon is an online store for jewelry and art, based in Redwood City, California. We choose pieces that still carry the character of their material: jade, amber, crystal, wood and silver, alongside prints and framed art.
What we curate
We curate both jewelry and art. Most pieces begin with something nature made: raw jade, luminous crystals, rare minerals. Others are paintings and original artworks. Every creation holds the texture of its material and the spirit of its maker.
Who makes the pieces
Some works are crafted in our own studio. Others are the vision of emerging artists and independent designers I have personally discovered from around the world. We believe that art and beauty need no translation, nor the validation of authority or a grand stage. At GrainMoon, every designer and every artwork has the chance to be seen, to resonate and to be remembered, even on the other side of the world.
What we believe
We do not seek fleeting noise or passing trends. Instead, we believe in the gentle strength of what endures.
In a complicated world, we hope discovery can be simple, connection can be effortless, and that every moment of wonder is truly cherished.
How we describe things
Materials are named literally. Lab-created stones are labelled as lab-created, plated metal is called plated, and the traditional meanings of a stone or symbol are described as tradition, not as a promise.
