Artisan & Cultural Creations gathers pieces made by hand within a living tradition: hand-painted thangka pendants and framed Tibetan Buddhist art. A thangka is a devotional painting; here it is made in miniature and set in a frame to be worn, or framed for the wall. The framed works include a clay tsa-tsa of Zaki Lhamo, 3.1 cm, hand-painted with mineral pigments in a cedar wood frame of 13.6 × 13.6 × 2.7 cm, and a black-gold mandala of the six-syllable mantra, 30 × 30 cm including its frame. The figures and mantras are described as they are understood in Tibetan Buddhist tradition, not as a promise of any result.
